the ex files

I have returned from the wilderness! I had so much fun camping. We hiked, drank, bullshitted, went off-roading, did some major eating of all things meat, and made a couple serious bonfires. It was great! BUT, I could have done without the couple that shouldn't (be a couple, that is). There's nothing like a woman mothering her man to make you want to put down your hamburger and slug a fast beer - if you can keep it down.

Now, I know it can be hard to let someone go when they have been part of your life for so long, but sometimes you just have to cut your losses. Especially when there is this: The Museum of Broken Relationships!

Genius!

When you break up, it's bad enough that you have to deal with friends taking sides and detagging all those lovey dovey facebook photos. The last thing you want to do is dig through all the mementos (i.e. underwear, stuffed animals, grooming products, clothing, novelties, etc. etc.), let alone make the trip to return them to their rightful owner. Now, you can donate those love cuffs to the world! This traveling museum lets you  "rid of controversial objects, triggers of momentarily undesirable emotions, by turning them into museum exhibits." And the best part is, you could probably really piss off the old ex by showcasing his tighty whities, along with a not-to-generous description.

What bad relationship item would you donate?

tote love

Wine festival season is almost upon us, and that means I'm on the hunt for a cute tote to carry all the goods (i.e. water, cheese, crackers, poncho for the spontaneous monsoon, camera, etc.)

I love these canvas bags from one language. So cute.

Too bad I don't want to spend a million dollars on something that will probably end up covered in red wine! But... I'm sure I could find use for one of these little guys :)

Have a good holiday weekend all - hope you have some fun things planned. I'm camping here with a group of friends starting tomorrow. I can't wait. After a stressful couple of weeks months, I could really use the middle of nowhere. Be back next week!
