I'm really digging the concept behind this floppy disk series by artist Nick Gentry.

Since graduating in 2006, Gentry's focus has been on technological advancement and its effect on society. Throughout time, information has been recorded on physical objects like tapes, polaroids, disks. But as media is rapidly absorbed into the web, many of these formats are quickly becoming obsolete.

Gentry wants to challenge this notion of use and dispose by giving these personal artifacts of the past a renewed purpose - as a medium for art.

And I love. Such a cool concept.
