Project 566 is a series of photographs by Canadian photographer Jun Justin based in his native Haiti. Jun returned to his home country to capture not the ugliness of this land but the beauty in its misery and the hope in the eyes of those who live in it. The project was done in 566 pictures taken in six hours over a two-day period.

There is so much devastation caused by Tuesday's earthquake in Haiti - over three million people impacted. The death toll is still unknown but many fear the dead will number in the 50,000-100,000s. And all in a country that is considered to be the least-developed in the Western Hemisphere and among the poorest in the world.
