cashtastrophe

After seeing all the news, news, news today about the monumental job losses in January and resulting stimulus pressure, my thoughts today are with all my working - and out-of-work - friends.

I thought I would never play witness to anything like my parents and grandparents had: a Pearl Harbor, a Hiroshima, the Holocaust, the end of WWII, the depression, the birth of sex, drugs and rock&roll (and, of course, the ultimate combo pack of the three: Woodstock), the Vietnam War, Nixon, the Civil Rights Movement, the Women's Rights Movement, etc., etc., etc.

But now I'm starting to see that history does repeat itself in some way or another.

Some headlines from the last 8 years:

Wow, so very well put. I hadn't thought of it that way, I guess we have experienced some pretty heavy stuff in our lifetime.
